Why Aren’t As Bad As You Think

Does Vaping And Air Travel Go Together?

Vaping has been dominating the world of today. Chances are, you’ve probably seen someone vaping in your city already. Those who are fans of vaping, keep their vapes with them wherever they are and wherever they go. You’d probably find them packing extra juice and batteries too, making sure that they can take out their e-cigarettes whenever it is convenient for them. Society has adapted to this new favorite among some people and haven’t limited its use – well that is, except for when you’re onboard a plane.

For some people who hate any form of smoking, be it through traditional cigarettes or vaping, this comes as good new. But vapers have found this to be unfair and a result of stigmas. But if you are curious as to how airlines have come to this decision, then read on and find out below.

One of the biggest reasons why vaping has been disallowed in flights is due to the e-cigs’ batteries. These lithium-ion batteries pose a threat and a risk to causing fires on the plane, similar to the cause of tobacco smoking banishment. If you didn’t already know, your other precious devices like your laptop, tablet, and smartphone contains lithium-ion batteries too, which is why there are some limitations to usage when traveling with them. We must not stand to be oblivious to the calamities caused by lithium-ion batteries exploding in different planes across the globe. But don’t be alarmed as you can still bring you lithium-ion batteries with you, just don’t include it in checked baggage. So have your vaping batteries safely kept inside the mod or in proper casing, and put it alongside your phone during security checks.

The second reason is the vapor. Majority of people are uncomfortable with smoke being emitted by other people through their mouths as they consider it as coming from a cigarette. With this mindset, the fire scare is increased and anxiety arises among passengers.

Now, we know you might be thinking about vaping in the lavatory instead, and the short answer is no. While you may not be disturbing anyone or causing anxiety to arise among fellow passengers, you’ll definitely be alarming the advanced smoke detectors that they’ve installed. At 30,000 feet in the air, people would surely notice you with your vape cloud causing the alarm that begins to sound through the plane.

Don’t throw a fit – keep in mind that you can vape right after your flight. Set the right example by following the rules and not getting your equipment confiscated or causing the ultimate banishment of all vaping equipment on airplanes. Good actions will surely reap great benefits.
